Asian Americans have faced more hate since COVID

The COVID pandemic has caused much hate and racism to occur among the people who are Asian Americans and related cultures. It has been a difficult two years when life has been dangerous for them as they faced hate crimes and racist rants. Some were injured and killed because of the racism they faced during the pandemic.

Now it is a time to celebrate their heritage. They are part of the diversity of the United States.

Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month for the United States is held during the month of May each year. This is a chance to embrace diversity and to celebrate the cultures of the AANHPI community.

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) is an organization representing AANHPI employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments. They announced that the theme for the AANHPI Heritage Month in 2022 is “Advancing Leaders Through Collaboration.”
